A few years ago, Texas-based student Hanss Mujica was suspended from his college. Now he is making it up to his parents with a big, emotional surprise that might just make you shed a few tears.
Seriously, grab some tissues before reading this one, folks.
Mujica says telling his parents that he got suspended from university was "truly unbearable," so when it came time to graduate, he wanted to make it up to them in a big way. He decided to break the news of his graduation to his parents with a surprise photoshoot. Of course, the pictures and video eventually made their way onto Mujica's Facebook page earlier this month, and they went totally viral.
This is what Hanss Mujica wrote in his post:
They've always said that the greatest gift you can ever gift your parents, is the gift of education. I've planned for this moment for so long and it finally came. A few years ago, I was suspended from the university. Yes. I'm not afraid to admit it. The look on my parents face of disappointment was truly unbearable. I told myself that day that I would never do anything to ever disappoint them again. Here we are a few years later... planning a surprise photoshoot for my parents. They thought it was a family shoot for a project... little did they know it was my graduation announcement. Inside the envelope laid the two invitation tickets for my graduation. "Por ustedes empecé, por ustedes acabe..." Gracias mamá y papá!
Whoops, my eyes are sweating! How sweet are these pictures!?!?
The emotional moment was also captured on video:
At time of publication, the post has been shared over 47,000 times. People were very moved by Hanss' sweet suprise:
Congrats to the graduate and his proud parents!
