The weekend definitely hits differently in quarantine...
Now that most of us have been quarantined for almost two months, life is getting pretty wild. Do we still know what day it is? Remember when the weekend involved going outside and meeting up with friends? What are "friends?" Do they not live permanently in their little squares on Zoom with various "Tiger King" virtual backgrounds?
Many people have tried to keep the weekend party going by conducting virtual happy hours that, while fun, are also a shortcut to technically drinking alone. Remember, you can still make mistakes over Zoom. The screen will not protect you from crying to your whole family about how you love them. You can still drink too much wine and try to contact your ex. Drink (and Zoom!) responsibly.
